Modern Marvel - History of Computer
In this early edition of Modern Marvel, the show talks about the history of computing and tabulating machine.
In the early days computing is done by humans, and people with the profession of calculating tables are called Computer (go figure).
The first idea for computer is arguably conceived by Charles Babbage, an english mathematician. Babbage called the machine; Difference Engine.
Before Babbage managed to complete the Difference Engine, he came up with even better design called Analytical Engine. The design of Analytical Engine is unbelievably similar to modern computer architecture, made popular by John Von Neuman.
Then the show move on to ENIAC, world's first super computer. Which then followed by UNIVAC.

The Last day of Amiga Plant - 1994
This video shows Dave Haynie giving tour around Commodore Plant in West Chester, PA on April 27, 1994.
It is unfortunate that Amiga disappeared in computing history for quite sometime (although they are now re-emerge under different ownership). Amiga OS is definitely ahead of its time and i think it is still cooler than Windows in many aspect.
The next video is BBC coverage on Commodore Amiga debut.

The move has proved to be spectacular for Apple. Finally Apple could show the world how superior OS X is compared to Windows XP on even playing field.
